Changes in this version are:
- Fixed the crash that occurs sometimes in character creation (hopefully!).
- The Main Window no longer accepts keyboard input when it is not active (for example, if the character creation window is active).
- The cursor is now positioned correctly when the main window is maximised.
- Non-magical items no longer have extraneous item descriptions (e.g. bloodstained, gashed, rusted or corroded).
- Monster speech is now coloured white in the Message Log.
- The Quit (Suicide) menu option now works.
- It is no longer possible to cause an error by pressing random keys whilst in the Hi Scores screen.
- Fixed an error that could occur when entering a level where no unique is present. As a result the "You feel a brooding presence..." message that displays whenever a unique is present on the level is no longer displayed.
- Starting a new game after finishing an old one will now clear the Message Log properly.
- A Welcome Message is displayed in the Message Log when you start or continue a game.
- The Player score calculated on the Farewell screen and the Player Score recorded in the hi-score table are now the same.
- Monsters listed as cause of death in the hiscore table are now prefixed properly.
- Removed the Show Inventory option on the Death Hiscore screen (Inventory Details can be viewed via the character dump opption instead).

Well...after starting the new version the first time, the title screen appeared, shortly followed after infinite access violation boxes which appeared without giving me the chance to close or even read them -- they appeared out of nowhere. I had to stop kharne.exe using the task manager.
The second time worked. Could you allow the player to press either 's' or 'S' in main menu for a new game? It is annoying to press shift in a menu.
This time the game did not crash during character creation.
I'm not quite sure if I like the way you handle the inventory. It is not obvious that you have to drag items to the text list on the right or the icons on the bottom right; new players might try to press the keys a to z and wait for an option list to appear. Perhaps you should place icons for the body parts next to the textual descriptions and write a hint somewhere: "Drag items to body to wear/wield/use them". That the "usable" slot is the meat-icon at the bottom right is not obvious.
< and > are still not working.
I like the dungeons I've seen so far, and I also like the lightning of the dungeons.

That's very odd. I'll add some logging and exception handling to see if we can track down what causes this.

Will do!

Yay!

I don't like it either, to be honest. Inventory handling needs an overhaul to allow keyboard use much as you suggest as an alternative method of control. I also want to allow the standard keyboard combinations of [q]uaff-[slot] for drinking potions, for example.

On the list to fix.

Thank you. There are some bugs in the dungeon generation which results in waaaay to many isolated doors. I also want more types of rooms as well.
